In NewDay Praise Worship, we seek to create an experience where people who don’t know Jesus can meet him. Those who do know Jesus can grow in that relationship. Everyone can find a warm welcome and a safe place to ask questions and talk about faith.

One of the most important things we do at Plainfield UMC is come together every week and experience the power of God’s presence in worship. People of different backgrounds and generations join together in NewDay Praise Worship to celebrate God’s promise of each new day lived with and for God. Live praise music, a relevant message, and genuine hospitality are the heartbeat of this worship experience. 

Attire is whatever you find to be comfortable. Jeans, T-shirts, and flip-flops are right at home at NewDay Praise. The coffee is always on, and we usually have light snacks available. Soft seating, café tables, chairs, and other seating make the space engaging and comfy. We start worship at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday. Worship includes live music and some singing (if you want to and are into that kind of thing). A message that helps connect the Bible and the story of Jesus to our everyday, real-world lives.

Kids are always welcome in NewDay Praise Worship. Some families worship together in NewDay, and some children go to infant/toddler care or Bible Explorers. Bible Explorers is a safe place for students Pre-K through Grade 5 to learn and have fun. Bring the kids to worship with you, and a friendly volunteer will help you find their classroom if you want to check it out.
