The PUMC Fish Fry 2024 is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a wide array of delicious food. This year’s menu includes deep-fried fish, grilled chicken, chicken tenders, and more! Select a couple of side dishes and round out your meal with homemade pies, cakes, and cookies!

We look forward to seeing you at the Fish Fry, which will take place on Friday, August 2, from 11 AM to 1 PM and 4 PM to 8 PM, and on Saturday, August 3, from 11 AM to 8 PM at Plainfield United Methodist Church, located at 600 Simmons Street. Proceeds from the event will benefit local, national, and global mission projects through PUMC’s small groups. These projects include hunger alleviation programs, youth mission trips, local Cub Scouts, international outreach, and more. Founded in 1836, Plainfield United Methodist Church is one of Plainfield’s longest-established churches, with a rich tradition of service. It has been actively involved in mission work for many years. Today, PUMC continues this tradition, supporting missions in places like Anchorage, Alaska, Kansas City, Kansas, and various impoverished areas in the United States, feeding the hungry and unhoused in Plainfield and Indianapolis, and aiding schools both locally and in Sierra Leone.

This year, the Plainfield UMC fish fry drive-thru features a new route for improved traffic flow and convenience. Drive-thru traffic will enter the queue from Raymond Street to the north of the church, proceed behind the church, and exit onto Simmons Street. The drive-thru hours are Friday, August 2, from 11 AM to 1 PM and 4 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday from 11 AM to 8 PM. This updated route ensures a smoother, more efficient experience, allowing everyone to enjoy the delicious fish fry with ease.

Parking is available in the Northeast and East parking lots at Plainfield UMC. Handicap parking, located next to the fish fry tents, can be accessed by entering off of Simmons Street. Additional parking is available at the Plainfield-Guilford Library and the First Baptist Church, situated to the south of Plainfield UMC. These options ensure ample parking for all attendees, making it convenient and accessible for everyone to enjoy the event.
