Face Covering Update

The CDC recently released guidance that those who are fully vaccinated for COVID may choose to refrain from wearing masks indoors and outdoors. This is good news for many, however the recent guidance also states that while attending a full-capacity worship service unmasked is safe for those who are fully vaccinated, those who are not should still wear a mask and social distance. There is no change in the CDC guidance for children age eleven and under at this time.

We all have both rights and responsibilities. We are all responsible to welcome, respect, and protect others. As a Methodist community, one of our general rules is to "do no harm."

Some may choose to forego their masks according to the new CDC guidance. At the same time, we will honor the choices of those who wear a mask for their own protection, health needs, to protect others, or for other circumstances. We will honor their social distancing and understand that certain health circumstances prevent one from receiving the vaccine.

We continue to pray for those affected by COVID and for the resolution of this global pandemic.
