Angel Tree 2020

Hello, fellow children in Christ. The Angel Tree mission is how we provide Christmas gifts, cookies, and Bibles for children of those who are incarcerated. They cannot get gifts for their children. Typically, individuals choose a tag for a child from the Angel Tree in the main lobby, then purchase and wrap the gift described on the tag. Later, the gifts are returned so they can be delivered.
This is another “high touch” activity affected by COVID-19. However, we can continue this ministry and adapt it to the first principle of Charles Wesley, “do no harm.”

This year, Plainfield UMC and other churches will be participating in a “Virtual Angel Tree.” To participate in the “Virtual Angel Tree” ministry, go to and enter the PUMC code: AJEQH. Select a child (or children) from the list and make an online payment of $22 for each child selected.

A package will be sent to each child. Each gift will include a $20 gift card from Walmart, a message from their parent, a message from the Gospel, and an opportunity to request a free Bible.

Thank you for supporting the children served through the Angel Tree ministry and please pray that our “Virtual Angel Tree” yields the same “good fruit” that the traditional method has in the past. If you have any questions about Angel Tree or assistance with the website, please contact Steve Brizendine via email at [email protected] or by phone at 317.965.7623.

God bless you all.
