Update on Church Operations and Sunday Worship (April 2, 2020)

April 2, 2020

On Sunday, March 29, President Trump extended federal social distancing guidelines to April 30. These guidelines limit gatherings to no more than ten persons and those persons must maintain a six-foot distance from each other.

In compliance with this request, and to safeguard the health and safety of persons connected with the ministry of Plainfield United Methodist Church, all in-person worship, activities and events at PUMC are suspended through April 30.

Livestream worship will continue on Sunday mornings; Classic Worship at 8:45 and NewDay Praise Worship at 10:00. The staff will continue to provide helpful and inspiring content nearly every day on PUMC’s social media platforms. And pastors will continue to provide pastoral care via phone calls, texts, and social media.

If you have need to reach a pastor or church staff person or conduct any other business with the church, please phone 317.839.2319. Phones are still being answered and your call will be received. You can also communicate with pastors and staff using any of PUMC’s social media platforms.

Thank you for your understanding and concern for all involved as, together, we seek to be the church active and on mission, as well as live within the President’s call to practice helpful social distancing.

Please stay tuned to all of PUMC’s social media platforms and website (pumc.org) for updates, helpful content, encouragement and ways to be helpful.
