Family Promise 2020

Do you have New Year’s Resolutions?  Maybe you would like to be a part of changing someone’s life?

The Mission of Family Promise is transforming the lives of families experiencing homelessness and poverty in Hendricks County, by providing housing, stability services and homelessness prevention, with the goal of achieving sustainable independence.

PUMC 2020 host weeks are:
  • January 26 - February 1
  • March 15 – March 21
  • August 30 – September 5
  • December 20 – December 26

Our first two host weeks are close together this year!  Amidst scheduling complications, this turned out to be the best option for PUMC and our host facility, the Plainfield Friends.  This could be a unique opportunity where we get to touch the lives of some families twice and get to see the progress they have made from when we host in January to when we host in March!

With these things in mind, we could use your help!

In the weeks before we host, there will be tables in the lobbies with information and sign-ups. We need help in preparing meals, being social hosts (hanging out with the families), and staying overnight…yes, sleeping can be a volunteer activity!!

Contact Mary Raver ([email protected]) to get on the schedule or ask questions.

Family Promise of Hendricks County sends out a weekly email update.  If you would like to be added to the “Friday Flash” distribution list, email Julie at [email protected].
