“Called” - Living Your Best Life with God

When a golfer connects the ‘sweet spot’ on the face of a golf club with the golf ball, the resulting shot is the best it can be - straight with maximum distance. When we find that perfect spot where our lives connect with God’s will for us, we find the ‘sweet spot’ of life. God calls each of us to live our best life with God in that ‘sweet spot.’ But how do we know God’s will? To what is God calling us?

Starting September 15, at PUMC, you can discover your ‘sweet spot.’ Using Susan Robb’s Called in worship and small groups, participants will explore God’s call to six iconic Bible characters: Abraham, Samuel, Esther, Jonah, Mary Magdalene, and the Beloved Disciple John. In each of these characters’ lives, God interrupts their ordinary existence, calling and empowering them to lives of service they never would have imagined on their own. This same God calls each of us to live our best lives, answering God’s unique call to each of us.

This six-week, all-church experience begins Sunday, September 15, in all adult worship, with a variety of small group options starting that week. Sign-ups for small groups begin Sunday, August 18, in the Main Lobby at PUMC. Suggested donation for the book is $15, but everyone in a small group will receive a book regardless of ability to purchase.
