The month of May has been designated as “Endowment Awareness Month.” The PUMC Endowment Committee invites you to learn more about, ask questions about, and be a part of this vital church program!

PUMC Endowments provide funds for a variety of ministry and mission. PUMC has an endowment fund for Worship Music and Arts, one for Children and Youth, one for Missions, one for Building and Grounds and a Memorial endowment to provide flexibility to meet multiple needs. PUMC’s endowments are managed in such a way that the original gift is maintained and grows at the rate of inflation. Growth beyond the rate of inflation is available to make grants for needs appropriate to the purpose of the fund. Recent grants have supported PUMC mission work trips, sanctuary technology, and preservation of PUMC archives and artifacts.

To grow the endowment funds and provide for additional ministry and mission, gifts can be made as current cash donations or be designated as part of estate planning. If this idea of creating a lasting legacy appeals to you, contact the church office, and a member of the PUMC Endowment Committee will be in touch!

And even Small Gifts Leave a Large Legacy! Pick up an endowment Coin Bank in the lobby today and begin to add your loose change. Return the bank on the first Sunday of June to discover how even your small gifts can contribute to a large, ongoing legacy of love here at PUMC!
