Transforming for Tomorrow Update

Transforming for Tomorrow (T4T) is an initiative of Plainfield United Methodist Church that will update, renovate, and prepare its building for effective and meaningful ministry tomorrow and beyond. Through this five-year initiative, PUMC will improve the building and property at 600 Simmons Street, Plainfield, to the point where the church can provide everyone, especially newcomers, the full experience of the grace and love of God, so that all of a person’s experience — from ease of parking, wayfinding signs, an inviting appearance, security for children, up-to-date restrooms, and more — matches our words of grace and welcome.
To date, PUMC has completed the repair and resurfacing of the existing parking lot and the installation of a new, exterior electronic sign. Both are helping PUMC put its best self forward when communicating with and welcoming the community. The next project is restroom renovations throughout the building. Research continues to show that clean, modern restrooms help guests decide to return. This work will begin in May.
