GriefShare Begins February 24

If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, to death you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. GriefShare begins February 24, 11:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. at PUMC to help you face these challenges and move toward healing.
GriefShare is a thirteen-week, Christ-centered, biblically-based support group experience.  A grieving person can join at any time during the thirteen weeks and the group is open to anyone seeking support in their grief.  Each session shows a video presentation followed by small group discussion about the video. The video presents experts, ministers and Christian counselors discussing grief and recovery subjects helpful to persons who are grieving.  Real people share their stories of what has helped them deal with the pain of losing a family member or friend through death. During the week between meetings, group members complete a Bible study and practical exercises to help them heal from grief.
Each person's fee has been covered by a generous PUMC member. To register for PUMC's GriefShare group, or to learn more about this opportunity, please contact PUMC's GriefShare leader, Shannen Shortt, through the church office or at [email protected].
